Kukd.com is an online food ordering and restaurant booking service, founded by entrepreneur and Managing Director of Euro Foods Group, Shelim Hussain MBE. Easy to navigate, Kukd.com acts as a third-party beneficiary between restaurants and their customers, allowing users to search for restaurants and browse local takeaway menus before placing an order online. In 2016,
Kukd.com launched the ‘Feed a Child’ programme in an attempt to assist some of Bangladesh’s most deprived children.
Easy to navigate, Kukd.com allows you to search for local take-aways and restaurants, place orders and reservations online, choose from collection and delivery options – and all while earning reward points. Out and about?The Kukd App has also been designed to complement the online experience to offer easy ordering and booking services while on the go. The Challange
Craig Apsey, Head of IT for Kukd.com approached Clarion as they were in need of an overhaul of their business IT security suite, from endpoint protection to firewalling and unified threat management.
Finding a robust set of solutions for a modern, internet and app-based business needed to be carefully considered. Making sure the network was completely locked down to ensure the security of all customer data was an absolute must, along with the resiliency to withstand a range of threats from an ever changing landscape of viruses, ransomware attacks and zero-day attacks.
The Solution
As with all projects of this type, the solution put in place would need to be suitable to the next 3-5 year road map for Kukd.com, which would incorporate their aggressive plans for growth.
Working closely with our vendor partners, Clarion naturally turned to two of the market leaders in IT security for business. Sophos, for their endpoint protection, Sandstorm (an advanced malware defense solution) and web filtering solutions. Watchguard, for their next-generation firewalls and unified threat management solutions. The Firebox M200 and M300 firewalls are specifically engineered to defend all types of small businesses against attacks that are no less fierce than those targeting larger organizations making them perfect fit for the growing infrastructure needs of Kukd.com.
