Who are iGO4?
iGO4 is a digital first, privately owned UK company, distributing insurance products to over 200,000 customers a year. Founded in 2007, and with 15 years Financial Services experience, the company manages several own brands and partner brands in the Car Insurance and Telematics Insurance market including iGO4, WiseDriving and Darwin. Customers are at the front and centre of the business and its operations. iGO4 support their customers through their digital platforms and services, online chat facility and contact centre.
iGO4’s product offerings can be accessed through all the major price comparison sites and direct through their branded websites. iGO4 were looking to expand in the UK with a view to taking on roughly 100 staff into their workforce with a blend of home working and office-based positions. This presented a challenge for their IT team, as they were required to roll out their entire IT infrastructure set up to new starters, who would be working from home. Due to the tight timescales involved, the pressure was truly on to make the rollout as seamless as possible.

The Challange
Due to a change in ownership structure, IGO4 LTD closed a call centre in South Africa, with a view to taking on the roughly 120 x staff into the UK head office in Peterborough, and in a number of hybrid, home based positions. This represented a challenge to the IT team specifically, as they were required to suddenly roll out an entire IT infrastructure to new starters, who would work from home.
Due to the tight timescales involved, the pressure was truly on to make the rollout as seamless as possible, and to ensure new staff had a good user experience, as it would be their first experience with their new employer – and would also generate a lot of support desk calls if it didn’t go smoothly!
The Solution
We then took care of distribution – shipping the boxes out to home users at multiple addresses, to make sure that they had all of the equipment they needed in time to begin their new role with the business. We even included pre-configured powerline adapters to make sure the users had full network access wherever they wanted to set up their desk within their homes.
The IT team decided to work collaboratively with the sales and support team at Clarion to oversee the entire project. We put together a ‘work from home’ bundle, consisting of all of the equipment required for a new starter to get the full iGO4 staff experience – including a pre-configured thinclient device, configured voip desk phone, and all of the accessories required for a full desk set up.
